DORVAL DAY CAMP – SUMMER 2024

When: from June 24 to August 16 every Monday to Friday, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Where: At the Dorval Aquatic and Sports Complex (1295 Dawson Avenue)

The Dorval Day Camp is gearing up for another great summer! Once again, we will have a fun-packed summer, with daily activities and games, special workshops, sports, fun at the pools and parks, and much more.

 

Annual General Meeting

The AGM is set to take place on March 23, 2024, at 9:00 am at the SDCC. Doors will open at 08:30 am and will close at 09:00 am when the meeting will start.

For those present at the AGM, registration can start at the end of the meeting.

Our camp is run by a volunteer parent committee. If you are interested in giving back to the community and volunteering with us, please let us know during the meeting.

 

Programs

Youth program (ages 5 to 9):

  • Rate for residents: $230 per week – flat rate per child
  • Rate for non-residents: $250 per week – flat rate per child

Pre-teen program (ages 10 to 12):

  • Rate for residents: $240 per week, – flat rate per child
  • Rate for non-residents: $260 per week – flat rate per child

Companion Program (ages 5-12):

–       The companion program’s main goal is to integrate children with disabilities. If you think that your child would benefit from being in our companion program, please do not register online. Please send an email to campdejourdorval@gmail.com explaining the difficulties that your child faces and which weeks you are looking at registering for.

–       Our companion program is funded by Federal and Provincial grants. Once our funding is approved, we will reach out to each parent of this program to confirm their registration. It is very important to register this way as if you register your child without following this procedure, we might have to cancel your registration due to a lack of resources.

 

Registration

Weekly maximum of 80 children.

To register online, you must create an account on the new online registration platform, if you do not have one. You can find detailed instructions here.

  • For Dorval residents, registration begins: Monday, March 25 at 8:30 a.m.
  • For non-Dorval residents, registration begins: Monday, April 1st, at 8:30 a.m.

Here’s what you need to register your child online (please click on the Day Camps tab to begin):

  • Your PIN and the PIN of your children.
  • The PIN can be found on your Dorval Resident Card.

Has your citizen card expired? Make sure to renew it soon as you won’t be able to register for classes and activities otherwise! You do not have a citizen or a non-resident card? Click here.

Registration in-person:

  • For Dorval residents, registration begins: Saturday, March 23rd following the AGM
  • For non-Dorval residents, registration begins Monday, April 3rd, at 8:30 a.m.
  • Registration can be completed at Sarto-Desnoyers Community Center during regular office hours.
  • To register you will need your and your child’s LUDIK number (located on the bottom of your Dorval resident’s card). If you are not a Dorval resident, please call the city of Dorval at (514) 633-4000 before the beginning of registration to obtain a LUDIK account.
  • Method of Payment: MasterCard, Visa, Debit, Cash, or blank cheques payable to the City of Dorval (cheque specifics given at the time of registration only – Please do not bring a completed cheque to registration.
  • Should parents need to have separate tax receipts, please ensure that the payment is made separately under each person’s name at the time of registration. Changes cannot be made after!
  • Complete the Health and Safety and Registration Requirements form for each child. Once completed, please forward it to us with a recent photo of your child to campdejourdorval@gmail.com. Please note that your registration will be finalized ONLY upon receipt of the Health and Safety and Registration Conditions form and the photo of your child.

 

A split payment option is available when paying by cheque only. 50% is required at the time of registration and 50% dated May 15 (cheque specifics will be given at the time of registration only –please do not bring a completed cheque to registration).

To obtain your Resident Card, each person (except children 5 years old and under) must bring two pieces of ID with an address to the Dorval Aquatic and Sports Complex (DASC), Monday to Friday from 6:30 am to 8:30 pm, Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

If you only want a PIN (without the resident card) and you can not come to the DASC during regular business hours (Monday to Friday from 6:30 am to 8:30 pm, Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.), you can send them by email to lc@ville.dorval.qc.ca and we will create a file for you and we will give you a PIN.
