CAMP HOURS & PICK-UP/DROP-OFF TIMES

Camp Hours & Pick-up/Drop-off Times Camp hours, including daycare, are from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Please note that in order to optimize the performance of the camp, children must be dropped off by 9 a.m., and may only be picked up as of 4 p.m. Should your child need to be picked up prior to 4 p.m., for example for a medical appointment, please advise the Camp Director by phone or by email at least 24 hours in advance. If you are late picking up your child, please advise the camp as soon as possible; late charges will apply.

INTEGRATION AND COMPANION SERVICE

The Dorval Day Camp welcomes children who have a physical or intellectual disability funded by a governmental grant. Funds are limited and to apply for this service, you must contact the camp director prior to registering. All children will be assessed in order to ensure we can respond their needs.

  • Registering a child who has a disability, without indication, inhibits the staff from providing proper integration of the child and can lead to the cancellation of your child’s registration. We have limited resources and funds available and only receive confirmation of the yearly grant in mid-June; therefore registration will be pending until confirmed by the DDC Director.
  • The camp’s aim is to offer a dynamic and secure service to all the children.
  • Please note the Dorval Day Camp can only provide the companion service during camp hours, 9:00 a.m.to 4:00 p.m. Please ensure that you drop off your child no earlier than 9:00 a.m. and pick up no later than 4:00 p.m.

MANDATORY POOL FEE

All campers must pay a mandatory one-time $20 pool fee at registration (not deductible for income tax). Residents who purchase a summer aquatic membership will have the $20 pool fee deducted from the total at time of pool registration. When registering online, make sure to select the activity, Day Camp Swimming for the $20 pool fee payment and submit it with your camp registration. Registration will only be completed when the mandatory pool fee has been paid.

CAMPER’S CONDUCT

The children come to the Camp to enjoy an exciting fun-filled summer. They come to participate in new activities, develop new skills and make new friends. While at camp, all campers must act appropriately.

Parents will receive a verbal warning following the first incident involving their child. A written warning will be issued after a second incident. Parents will be asked to sign this notice in acknowledgement of the incident in question. A third incident will result in suspension or expulsion from the camp, as decided by the Parent Committee.

The Camp reserves the right to expel any child who does not respect the rules.

Dorval Day Camp encourages a respectful environment among and between all members of our community- campers, staff, and parents. Disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated.
